Background/Biog/Formative influences – Trinidad & Tobago’s 1970’s Black Power marches & Carnival,  environmental science degree, becoming the UK’s first Sustainable Development Officer working on Agenda 21  plus theatre photography for the RSC.

Then Buy Caribbean Best of the Bunch for a decade at Notting Hill Carnival, campaigning against WTO sanctions on Caribbean small-island banana hill-farmers. Using ‘edutainment’ – sound truck & costumes made by Notting Hill residents on the road at carnival, music, MCs, video, press & publicity, commercial & pirate radio.

In Trinidad, working with Brian Mac Farlane on ambitious kings, queens and carnival bands, playing iron percussion and producing a fire show at carnival with the awesome Laventille Rhythm Section. Creating dance music band Engine Room UK, street performance act Dragon Heart Beats and oratorical Midnight Robber Emperor Mort Bleu.
